The difference between therapy and coaching
Therapy deals with the diagnosis and treatment of an illness. Exploration of the past will uncover the cause of the problem. The focus of attention is exclusively of a historical nature and there is no firm commitment by the individual to move forward.
Coaching, on the other hand, is for healthy and functioning individuals who want to expand and enhance themselves to higher levels of performance and fulfillment.
We all get stuck at some point in our lives- going round and round in circles without ever being quite able to sustain any well intended change. Our process increases your awareness around these repetitive patterns of behaviour and provides you with methods to make meaningful and sustainable change. The nature of the relationship is unique as it is completely solution focused.
The coaching relationship is in no way to be construed as psychological counseling or any type of therapy.
Coaching Sessions
Coaching is a powerful ongoing partnership between client and coach, designed to inspire the client to becoming the best that they can possibly be.
Sessions run for 60 minutes or 90 minutes. Depending on your needs these sessions are done in person or telephonically. A minimum of 12 sessions is recommended. We will explore:
• Your dominant personality type • Your core values • Your awareness around old patterns of behaviour • Methods to make empowering decisions • What has meaning for you.
